Sometimes you’ve got to imagine some stuff. All the stories are based on something I heard or experienced. I hope you enjoy.
ALBA’S BOOKS - THE FICTION ONES
One Day Left
In my day job, which continues, I worked in Hospices in the UK heading their income generation teams. It was a humbling experience and another huge part of understanding, and also not understanding time.
This novella I wrote because I was curious if it made any difference when one had 24 hours left to live to sort out any of the issues that had been carried in a life time. And I wanted to write down ideas.
In the end, apart from the stories about the wonderful mad places hospices are (and they are mad and wonderful believe it or not), I think this was about my Dad who I didn’t really see very much in my adult years and I think underlying it was me wondering if he regretted this.
